Designer Moulding new products and Traditions sale!

They're having a sale!!

Ok, pardon the used car sales approach here. But, Designer Moulding is having a sale, and it's a good one.
The Louisville, KY firm is offering great pricing on it Traditions line. If you take a look at the link, you'll see profiles and finishes that have been popular in the industry for awhile, but may have fallen off your radar with the avalanche of new products that are being introduced.

There are some great bargains to be had on these classic profiles. The sale is on box quantities only; but on the larger items, footage can be only 35 to 40 feet for a full box. All these items are manufactured at eight feet, six inches in length so they can be shipped via UPS or Fedex Ground.

Get in on the savings by contacting me, or Designer Moulding directly.

Free Shipping on all Adhisa USA chops

Adhisa USA began offering their products directly to the framing industry here in the US from their New Jersey warehouse several years ago, and have been steadily growing their customer base as framers find out the quality and unique look that they have to offer.

Throughout the summer of 2011, Adhisa will be offering free shipping on all chop and small length orders as well as free freight on length orders of $1000 or more. This is a great deal in these times of gas surcharges and handling fees from other vendors.

Take a look at what they have to offer, I think you'll find something you like.

Nelson's Moulding and Frame - finally online!

Travis Nelson and his crew at Nelson's Moulding and Frame have been working for the last several years trying to get a website online that would not only advertise their products, but would be a useful resource for framers looking for items in their line, or just searching for something new or for a specific application.

I think they've done an outstanding job! If you take a look at the site at www.nelsonsmoulding.com, you'll see that you can click on collections, or individual items to get a better look at that particular moulding. The site is very well organized, and a simple to surf around.

Take a look for yourself and don't hesitate to contact them or me for samples.

After a long nap, an update.....

I have been missing from updating this page for quite some time, and have changed the links and information to reflect the firms that I am currently representing over at the right. Click the links and take a look at the different manufacturer's and their products. Please contact me with any questions, or leave a comment here and I'll try to get info to you as quickly as possible!

North Carolina Moulding - a bargain that you shouldn't overlook

A new vendor that I have signed on with is North Carolina Moulding Company. You can see the link to their site over on the right hand side of the page.

Long known as a great source of custom run mouldings for large volume framers and OEMs, North Carolina is a value that retailers ought to take a look at more closely.

With economic news making the buying public extremely cautious, quite a few folks are out looking to get work done, but are searching for bargains. This is where the folks at The North Carolina Moulding Company come in.

Their stock line of moulding is available in 50 foot minimum quantities, with discounts available at 200 ft (15%) and 500 feet (30%).

With price points that are extremely reasonable, and product all manufactured here in the US, NC is a nice option for the framer looking for a dependable source of traditional "Bread and Butter" moulding that they can use everyday, and at a bargain price to boot compared to some of the vendors that commonly are seen on framer's walls, i.e. Larson, Roma, etc.

If you haven't given it a look, you should. Follow the link above, or email me or post a comment here if you'd like more info.

It's getting better out there - or at least, not any worse!

The economy is one of the subjects on all of my customer's minds, and just about without exception, every call I make on someone has them asking me how I am finding the business environment in my travels around my sales territory.

In fall 2008 there was a great amount of angst our there; it seemed that no one could predict with any certainty what their next month's revenues would look like, and the general public was spooked by the media's constant blaring of all of the foreclosure news, the banking crisis, and the drop in the stock market. The was a lot of concern for business owners and the public in general, and rightly so.

At that time, most of my client base reported to me that their business was very irregular. There would be several very busy days in their shops, followed by almost nothing for a week. Then, the scenario would flip flop. There was no continuity to anyone's projections, or to their customer's showing up on their doorstep.

Here we are, nearly one year later. Business has not necessarily improved, although there are signs that things are slowly being to come back a little. I think the jobless numbers, which continue to worsen, are a sign of ongoing problems that are not going to be solved anytime soon. But, most of my customers are reporting that they are beginning to see some old clients of theirs return, and that their business has leveled off, without the peaks and valleys they were seeing in fall '08.
Is the economy improving? My personal take on this is no, it isn't. But the buying public has discovered that they still have houses; they still have employment; and they are tired of being frightened, and have decided that spending will not send them off to the poor house, at least not today.

Hopefully, what I am seeing is the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. I pray that is isn't the headlamp of that freight train that just rounded the curve....
